ick, sick yet again. This time it’s not as serious as last time… but it will probably put me out of commission for halloween. (darn it.) That combined with my lack of internet basically led to me to relax and get better quickly. Finally I have internet again at home, so things are a bit more smooth. (I really need to figure out a way to get over this habit of absorbing all the useless information I can using the internet. It’s starting to be an addiction. *laugh*) Oh well, c’est la vie, eh? Everything else seems to be going decent lately though. Work seems happy, and I am kinda catching up on my list of stuff to do. (Projects I am working on and all.) As you can tell, this site is finally all together, which is great, and means that I can now put some more thought and effort into other projects and sites. Hopefully more so when I feel healthier. A quick hello to everyone out there who was worried. I’m still alive, just a bit sick and without internet for a few days. It’s all good. ^_^ …..1337hax0r….. |

ick, the world that runs on credit.Man, it seems that they design this world to be as frustrating for a university student as possible. Unless your parents are absurdly rich, you pretty much either go through university like a spartan, or you go through university running completely on credit. (Watching the red get brighter and brighter on your credit reports) ick. It’s funny for me though because since I’m going to Waterloo (and I have to move pretty much every 4 months due to Co-Op) I end up with crazy costs and effort spent in subletting apartments getting my stuff in storage and all sorts of other annoying things. Or… I take normal stream (General Honours) and just finish. But the thing is theoretically after this term I could stay in Waterloo full time for a year and finish my degree. It’s a bit of a question now then. Should I flip to a job to try to straighten out my finances a bit come Summmer? Or should I just work through and get my darn degree done and out of the way, and move on to more interesting things in life? (Including paying off the crippling debt you acquire as a student at Waterloo, and probably many other universities in the world.) Hmm.. oh well. I guess this is the modern world. Considering the average debt of a Canadian (less student loans) is reasonably equivalent to mine. I guess I’m not doing so bad. I guess it’s just the modern world runs on credit, and we are each left to decide what that means for us. …..1337hax0r….. |

darn it all! This weekend I was getting so much work done downloading legitimate public domain files through Kazaa lite K++, but for some reason everything I Downloaded was corrupted. So I was frustrated and originally decided that it was the RIAA purposely mucking everyone up on Kazaa (good or bad.), but then my brain cleared and I wondered if it was because I installed ZoneAlarm. Well, I uninstalled ZoneAlarm and downloaded all of the same files I downloaded before… and….? Well, everything’s downloading fine now. So lesson to be learned. ZoneAlarm is good, but it still has it’s side effects. *shakes head in frustration*, oh yeah, and the RIAA isn’t responsible for every frustration that happens to me. (They are responsible for most of them, though. ^_^) …..1337hax0r….. |

An idea for a good reality TV ShowI have been watching a lot of constructionist reality shows lately, (Monster Garage, Trading Spaces, Choppers, Junkyard Wars, etc.), and I realized something really interesting about all of it. They are not only good TV shows, but also helpful shows for life as well, since the money earned for the show is put into produced objects of art, or cleaning up rooms, or (insert show goal here), and thus the show not only produces good TV, it also produces good art. (especially shows like Choppers and Monster Garage.) So… I was thinking about this, and wondering if it could be applied to other things, more useful things for mankind, like a show where they bring engineers together and build futuristic things. (orbital rockets, undersea habitats, etc.) Sure, it would be more expensive, but it would also have the viewership that the Apollo program had during it’s peak if the showmanship is good. Basically, give the engineers a year to do something amazing, or a few months, (depending on the complexity), and then divide the show over a month or even an entire season. Not only will it be exciting for the audience because the outcome might fundamentally affect mankind (especially from the perspective of creating amazing things, like undersea habitats.), but it the audience will also be able to learn how things are built and realize that all of these things are within our reach.. Either way, it would definitely be a great show. (Other creationist reality show websites) Monster Garage: http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/monstergarage/monstergarage.html Junkyard Wars: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/junkyard/junkyard.html American Chopper: http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/amchopper/amchopper.html Basically just take this idea one step further, and really create something amazing. |

Ugh… very long weekendYou know how after every thanksgiving weekend you usually spend the next week/month/year working off all the of food you ate, and how tired and exhausted you are by that gluttonous consumption of food. Yeah, well, this thanksgiving I’m going to have to spend the next week/month/year eating a tad more to make up for all the energy I spent. I gave my sister the penny and dime tour of the city. Showed her as many sites as I possibly could in a 3 day weekend. We checked out the Biodome (which is always nice), the Botanical Gardens (to see the chinese lantern show), the expo ball on the island, and well, also did a pretty grand tour of the underground city mall system. (Eaton Centre, Centre d’Ailes, etc.) It was pretty hectic and crazy, but fun. I’m glad everyone had a good time though. I just hope I can get my energy back soon. *laugh* …..1337hax0r….. |

Long time no write!Wow. it’s been a long time since I’ve written. Well, to keep everyone up to date, I’m still alive, finally healthy, and living life to it’s fullest. Work is cool, and I finally got the preliminary bugtracking code on www.midimachine.com. I have however gotten around to taking a new pic of me. A good one at that. So I am pretty happy.
Other than that, my sister Wendy arrived today and I gave her the grand tour of Montreal. Well, a quick one. We went to le port-vieux, and we saw “Et la premiere fut @ Notre-Dame. That was pretty cool. L’eglise Notre-Dame is amazing. I totally recommend it to any Catholics. I was so impressed that I’ll probably go for mass tommorow. First time I’ve done mass in a while, but after you see Notre Dame, and see that beautiful pipe organ they have there. You just have to attend one mass. But, I think that’s a pretty good update for now. Maybe I’ll get a shot of my sis tommorow. ^_^ …..1337hax0r….. |
